Robin trained at the Royal Academy of Music and on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His operatic roles include Fenton/Falstaff & Alfred/Die Fledermaus (Iford Opera), Gastone & cover Alfredo/La Traviata (Nevill Holt Opera), Fox/Vixen (English National Opera/Silent opera), Graf Albert (cover)/Die Tote Stadt (ENO), Bearded Wild Thing/Where the Wild Things are (Bamberg Symphony Orchestra/Shadwell Opera), The One/Janacek’s Diary of One Who Disappeared and Henry Crawford/Mansfield Park (Waterperry Opera festival), Candide/Candide & Alfred/Die Fledermaus (West Green House Opera), Mayor/1st cover Anatoly Chess (ENO), Val Jean/Les Miserables & Tony/West Side Story (Pimlico/Grange park opera).

Robin’s solo oratorio work includes B Minor Mass/Bach, Mozart Requiem & Le Grand Messe de Morts/Berlioz (Canterbury Cathedral), St. Matthew Passion/Bach (Bristol Beacon), The Bells/Rachmaninov (Winchester Cathedral), Israel in Egypt/Handel (Southwark Cathedral), The Crucifixion/Stainer (St. Martin’s in the Fields), Elijah/Mendelssohn (Dorchester Abbey).

Robin was a founding member of the A Capella group Voces8. He was also awarded 2nd prize in the International Lotte Lenya competition in New York, and the Young artists’ prize at the Les Azuriales competition in Nice, France. He has also appeared on screen with Donald Sutherland in a series based on the life of John Paul Getty called Trust directed by Danny Boyle.
